Egg My Yard 2025

Purpose: The Abiding Savior Group Mission Fund exists to provide funds to missional activities of Abiding Savior groups to serve in their community and with nonprofit organizations. This aligns with one of Abiding Savior’s four Mission Pillars (Released) and is also part of our Sending (Every neighbor cared for).

Policies

Applicant Requirements:

Must be an active member of the Abiding Savior family.
Must be a member of an Abiding Savior group (see definition below).
Commitments must not be made or money spent before the application has been submitted and approval given.

Each project must answer the following questions:

How will the spiritual life of your group be inspired?
During this event, how will your group connect others to the extraordinary life found in Jesus? (Note: Mission is not just serving; it is sharing the Gospel.)

Awards will be based on a variety of criteria, including these:

The length of time your group has been together.
How long you have had a relationship with the beneficiary.
How the event or project aligns with Abiding Savior’s mission and vision.

Other important criteria:

The appropriate form and itemized receipt(s) must be submitted before reimbursement.
Because the funds given and entrusted to us are limited, the stewardship value of the event or project will be examined.

Inappropriate Uses of Funds

Personal reimbursement
Directly gifting seed money to a cause
Purchase of items without a relational activity
Cash or cash equivalent (e.g., gift cards)
Social gatherings without any intent of sharing the Gospel with others
Alcohol, firearms/ammunition, and/or unlawful ways not in keeping with Abiding Savior values
Combining two or more Group Mission Fund grants for one large project

Definitions

Group Mission Fund: money set aside for the purpose of funding missional activities of individuals and groups of Abiding Savior.
Groups: members of Abiding Savior joined together in a small group, ministry group, or school group.
Individual: an active Abiding Savior family member who is active in a group.
Missional Activity: a project or event that builds relationships, serves the unreached, and/or supports others to allow the opportunity to share the Gospel.
Donations In-Kind: contributions of goods or services, other than cash grants. Examples of in-kind gifts:
- Goods such as computers, software, furniture, and office equipment for use by your organization or for special event auctions
- Services such as meeting space rental, photocopy and mail services, and administrative or financial support
- Expertise such as legal, tax, or business advice; marketing and website development; and strategic planning
- Cash equivalents such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds
